Emergency Landing Area Requirements
Secure a clear approach path (on beaches, water's edge to form one side of landing area). Deploy responsible people to keep landing area clear until rotor has stopped. Where available, use radio or mobile phones to warn pilot of obstaclesm power lines, etc. on flight approaches.

The RACQ CQ RESCUE crew was tasked to search for an active beacon earlier today. Once in the air the EPIRB signal was tracked by the rescue crew to Proserpine.
