Busy day for RACQ CQ Rescue

Prior to commencing the search for the missing fisherman at first light RACQ CQ Rescue was called to a medical emergency on Hamilton Island for two patients. The first patient was a six month old baby girl from New South Wales she was suffering from severe breathing problems.

The second patient was a 20 year old male from Mackay. He was involved in a golf buggy accident and sustained a suspected broken jaw, head and upper body cuts. The patient was stabilised by the medical crew before the aeromedical evacuation.
