Missing Fisherman

On New Years Day the RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter was tasked by Queensland Police Service to commence a search for a missing fisherman approximately 180 kilometers North East of Mackay. At this stage it is believed he is a professional fisherman and has gone missing from his mothership the "Dragon 1". The search commenced at 3:50pm with the crew returned to Mackay at 6:30pm due to the approach of last light. The search will continue at first light tomorrow.
