RACQ-CQ Rescue out to Clermont

The Mackay-based RACQ – CQ RESCUE helicopter is on its way to a property 60 kilometres north west of Clermont to retrieve a 2 year old girl.

The toddler who is distressed and in considerable pain will be retrieved along with her pregnant mother by RACQ – CQ RESCUE from their property which has been isolated due to flood waters. At this stage the medical crew on board the RACQ – CQ RESCUE helicopter will assess the child’s condition and a decision will be made whether to transport the patient to Clermont Hospital or bring her and her mother to Mackay.

Flight time to the property is approximately 1 hour.
