RACQ – CQ RESCUE tasked to Hardy Reef

RACQ – CQ RESCUE was tasked to Hardy Reef Pontoon to retrieve a 13 year old boy who had been stung by an Irukandji jellyfish. The Cannonvale teenager was winched on board the RACQ – CQ RESCUE helicopter from the pontoon and was flown to Mackay Base Hospital for medical treatment. The rescue crew left Mackay just before midday and arrived back at the hospital in Mackay just after 1.30pm.
