About RACQ CQ Rescue

Since its first official flight on 1 September 1996, RACQ CQ Rescue has flown almost 5,000 missions saving countless lives throughout Queensland. Here is a summary of major milestones RACQ CQ Rescue has achieved over its history.

The incident highlights the need for a rescue helicopter to service the many areas of Central Queensland that are remote or difficult to access by ambulance.
